Hypo Melanism
Hypo Melanism is one of the few genetics, that can be used to determin the color of the Volbur.
Hypo Melanism - or Hypo for short - is not to be confused with the normal Melanism.
Hypo means "less of". In this case it means, that it reduces the black pigmentation on the Volbur.
But it is not as strong an Albinism.
Volburs with Hypo are not effected on their eyes or noses. Which means they stay the color they are.

Hypo is labled as "Hp". Not to be confused with the Hyena allele "H". Hypo is its own thing.

Omitt turns the black back white or it disappears.

Two opposites again. Hypo also gets rid of black pigments but their noses, eyes are not effected.

Hypo with Albino
Hypo and Albino are very similar. On the Volbur it just looks like an Albino. Maybe more cream colored sometimes.
