Edgy/ Crystalline

Regions

edgy fade.jpg

Edgy is one of the few genetics, that can be used to determin the color of the Volbur.

Edging -or Crystalline- creates more white coming from below. It also fades out the whole coloration depending on their genes.

It looks similar to Platinum Lakifs.

Nose, eyes or mask do not change with this gene.

Eye color depends on the Volburs mutation.

Genetics

Edging is labled as "E".

Melanism with Edgy (Panthera)

Melanism and edgy combine can create a whole new pattern on the Volbur. Edgy is the only color morph, that can not express fully on the coat. Rather then creating white sides, the coat only changes half way to crystalline, which ends up with spots all over the place. It only effects the black area. Brown does not get lighter.

We call it Panthera since it looks similar to large wild cats.
