In the Sims 3 kennel world, this doesnt effect the puppies in any way. My last merle pairings happened in 2012 when I started my kennel and had little knowledge. Since then I improved in many ways and never bred or allowed (stud, pairing or private litters) those kinds of pairings ever again.
